OpenGL on multiple monitorsUsing hardware-accelerated OpenGL on multiple monitors requires Windows 2000/XP or later, and video cards/drivers that support it. Nvidia: using Detonator 40 or later drivers, you get accelerated OpenGL on all monitors, even across multiple Nvidia cards. You can move windows between monitors, and also stretch OpenGL windows across all monitors. Please note that not all applications will work when stretched across multiple monitors, especially games like Quake3 and UT2003 might crash after a short while. 3Dlabs: seamless OpenGL acceleration across all monitors, you can stretch windows across monitors. Limitations: all monitors need to use the same display resolution. You can use a dualhead card or multiple Oxygen GVX1 cards (AGP and PCI). |
