I like it so far, the option to put everything back where it was on the second monitor is great! I can't wait to test the advanced multimon shortcut creation tools you said you'd add later (open a window in a particular monitor & size, automatic OpenGL shutoff, wait, then reenable).
One option I'd like to see added is whether or not to display the Set Primary option in the context menu. It's a handy feature, but one I almost never ever use in Win2k. Once I set it, that's usually it, and I'd like to be able to hide that option if I don't need it. This'd prevent me from accidentally clicking on it and forgetting about it, then wondering why my direct3d was messed up.
I really like the new options dialog for the screensaver as well, it's a huge improvement!

One bug I found... not actually a bug, but a potential for things to go bad. Windows 2000 system with UM2.0b1
Open the ultramon screensaver 2. In the primary choose starfield simulation and choose it again in the secondary. With the "preview mode" chosen the screensaver works correctly, without it chosen it runs across both monitors.
This is expected behavior, and what the preview mode option is all about. The bad thing is the severity of the screensaver running like that. Once you preview or run the screensaver w/o the preview mode being turned on and move the mouse you get a blank desktop. CTRL+ALT+DEL works to bring up the CAD options, but if you open the task manager it is immediately hidden by the screenaver.
What I'd like to see is the same dialog that pops up in Windows when you try a new video mode. Have your preview button only display for 10 seconds, then have it automatically exit and ask "did the screensaver(s) run correctly? yes/no". That way if the preview mode was selected incorrectly the program will automatically close after 10 seconds so you can try setting it the other way. Maybe some more explanatory copy on the dialog to give the user the next steps. "If you did not see both screensavers, you should try enabling or disabling the preview mode option, yadda yadda."
It's trial and error to get the dual screensavers running, and having the preview automatically stop after 10 seconds would really help with the errors. :-)

One more bug...
The screensaver isn't saving my settings. If I go to the Ultramon SS 2 options and choose 2 screensavers, when I hit op to the Ultramon dialog and go back to the screensaver control panel & hit options again the dialogs are blank.

The problem you're seeing with the preview is the built-in delay of about 2-4 seconds until the screen saver reacts to input. Add to this the delay until the other screen savers have exited. If you move the mouse after 3 seconds, then wait 1-2 seconds, the preview will terminate by itself and you'll be back to the desktop. This is not ideal, I'll see if I can find a better solution.
I can't reproduce the problem with saving the settings, does this happen all the time or only in specific situations?
The option to disable the Set Primary menu item will be in the next beta.
Thanks for the feedback!

I have the settings problem every time. I did have an earlier beta of the screensaver 2 installed, could it have written a registry entry that's messing up the saving of new settings?

I guess that's it. To fix the problem, delete the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\2.0\UltraMonSaver
Let me know if it still doesn't work after deleting the key.
