I've got a two monitor system with a couple 24" widescreens. Many of the applications I use are vertically oriented, like Notepad, DOS prompts, SSH terminals, web browsers, word processors, etc. and I often will view 4 such windows across (2 per monitor side by side). The problem is each application only saves one last position. Likewise, the UltraMon shortcut extensions only allow you to set one custom window position at startup. But because I may put an application in any of four typical places on the screen it would be kinda nice if you could set a list of custom window positions for each application. Something which would be added to the system menu. Have a command for saving the current window location, and then have a submenu full of previously saved locations which the window would jump to when you select one.

Related to that, it'd be cool if there were some logic where when a new window of the same application pops up Ultra Mon would automatically position the new window in the next available saved position. So if I had 4 preprogrammed positions for Internet Explorer windows and already had a window open in position 1 and then opened another IE window it would open in position 2 (e.g. right next to the first window), since position 1 already has an IE window in it. Does that make sense? I'd find such features very useful. Hopefully others would, too.

Also, one minor add-on idea. I used to use a small system menu extension program which added a move-to-back command. It just sent the current window to the bottom of the stack of windows without minimizing it. That might sound kinda strange, but I found it very useful for when I wanted to get a window out of the way without disturbing the stacking order of the other windows. Dunno, just an idea, and it would be pretty easy to implement I think.

Great program, by the way. One of the few I found good enough to pay the registration fee for. ;)

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll consider them for a future release (after 2.0 final).

To create multiple shortcuts for a single application, you'll need to create the shortcuts from the UltraMon menu: Shortcuts > New Shortcut.
