I am new to the multimonitor world. What I would like to do is to force Windows by Ultramon or any other program to open up EVERY windows on the SECONDARY monitor.
I played around with ultramon but it seems it only possible to specify applications where to show up. Pop-up windows and dialog boxes always show up on the primary monitor. For example the connect to network window or if I right click on the desktop>properties on the secondary monitor, than this window comes up on the primary.
These windows dont appear in the taskbar so I can not send them to the other monitor using Ultramon. Or by Alt+Crtl+Del the shut down window always comes up on the primary.
I need this because the monitor I am sitting behind and the other monitor (the primary which I use to wath TV) are physically 10m away from each other. So I dont see what comes up on the primary monitor.
The solution to swich primary is not good solution because my TV application due to the overlay always comes up on the primary.
I have win98SE and radeon 8500. I could not make the radeon "theater mode" work with TV application
It is perhaps OS limitation. XP is better from this point of view?
