my first problem is with the screensaver, i am unable to get any screensaver to show up on my secondary monitor.
My second problem is with maximize across two screens, my problem is that if i maximize a program across two screens and then close it in that state, i have to rezise it manually when i open it again if I don't want it to be on both screens.

Standard Windows screen savers such as Beziers and Starfield should work fine on secondary monitors. If you are using a screen saver with multi-monitor support on the primary monitor, make sure preview mode is checked, otherwise you won't see the secondary screen saver.
Also see UltraMon Help > Troubleshooting > Screen saver doesn't work for more information on screen saver-related issues.
Regarding desktop-maximizing: when you start the application again and it is desktop-maximized, just click on the Maxmize to Desktop button to restore it to normal size.
I have tested with Notepad, if it doesn't work with your application let me know.

ok, i start notepad, i maximize it across to screens and leave it there when i close it, i open it again it's maximized across two screens but when i shrink it back down to one screen it's just a small little window, previously it took up about 1/2 of one screen.
screen saver, the screensaver that i was tring to run previews fine if i only have one monitor but using both it won't preview. I have no clue why. If i run the primary monitor not in preview mode it displays but not the screensaver on the secondary monitor.

This is a limitation of the current implementation of this feature. UltraMon will remember the original normal size/position only as long as the application is running. When you start it again, and the application is desktop-maximized, UltraMon will use a default normal size/position when you restore it.
If possible, please post download links for the screen saver(s) you are using. Also let me know how the screen savers are configured (on which monitor, preview mode).

I'm having problems with the matrix code emulator screensaver, www.chaossoft.com, i was thinking about buying it and seeing if i could rework the source code, depending on what language it was written in.

Matrix Code Emulator also doesn't work for me when assigned to a secondary monitor, probably related to the screen saver using DirectX.
What does work is using preview mode on the primary monitor.
The screen saver also has native multi-monitor support: if you assign it to the primary monitor and don't check preview mode, it will run on all monitors. You may have to configure the screen saver to use current resolution for all screens for this to work, see this thread for details.

well in order for it to work it must be on my primary monitor and my primary monitor must be the first adapter the pc sees. which is annoying, i'll try it w/ a differnt matrix ss
