if you are using Maya and you right click in the main window it will create a small popup menu around the cursor, this is something you have to use constantly in Maya
if I right click to bring up that menu and Maya is on a monitor with the Ultramon smart-taskbar the smart-taskbar will disappear while the popup is visable

This might be fixed in the next release (2.2 Beta 1, to be released shortly).
Please let me know if you still experience the same problem with the next release.
