I don't know if all TV-Out-enabled cards are handled the same way, but I would like to be able to include TV-Out in the Display Profiles.
Usually, when I want to watch a DVD on the TV, I need to turn off the secondary monitor, go to the Display Properties and select TV as the new output for the primary display and to confirm the setting within 15 seconds.
To switch back is even worse - go to Display properties, set the output to the first monitor, adjust the resolution back to 1600x1200 (TV-Out is 800x600 tops) AND crank the refresh rate back to 85 Hz. Then I can just enable the secondary display via Ultramon (default action for clicking on the tray icon in my case).
Tiresome, especially the switching back to monitor output.
Any chance that these settings can be included in the Display Profiles section of Ultramon? (I am using an Nvidia based board, I don't know if ATI's Multidisplay setting is completely different)

The current version of Windvd automatically detects the tvout on your card, and full screens the movie automatically to the tv, why not just use this?

This is something I'm going to look into for a future release, at the moment I don't know yet if it can be done.

I was just wondering if any progress was ever made on this topic, or if it has even been "toyed" with yet? The utility (also in system tray) that comes with the latest NVIDIA drivers supports TV-Out as a separate display. So therefore it is possible to have it this way, but then again it could be a very complicated method to write.
Anyhow, please let me know if there has been any progress or not. Thanks.

Nevermind about this issue. I wasn't aware that NVIDIA came out with a new set of drivers in December. I just loaded them, and the TV-Out works perfectly with UltraMon.
I'm going to try it out for a bit, and see if it will be a worthwhile purchase or not at this point in time. Either way, I'll definately be back around whenever I get a second monitor (instead of TV-Out).

Changing display settings for a TV which is recognized as a monitor will work fine with UltraMon, what's currently not supported is switching a video card between output to the monitor or TV.
I'll look into this for UltraMon 3, but haven't worked on it yet.
