Hi,

I successfully hooked up a second monitor using
Win98, with AGP Viper V770 Ultra as primary and
PCI Stealth III S540 as secondary. It worked at first but after the first re-boot the message
"Monitor is Working out of Scan Range" came
up on the primary monitor. Primary monitor is
a Micron and secondary is an old Viewsonic 20G.

How do I configure/standardize the frequency
between the 2 monitors? Thanks!

You can use different refresh rates for the two monitors. Possibly Windows has reverted the primary monitor to a default model when installing the second monitor, thus your problems with incorrect refresh rates. Selecting the correct model and/or refresh rate should fix this.

FYI -

This problem went away after I downloaded the latest drivers for both cards from the Diamond
website.
