Hi everyone,
I’ve been using UltraMon to manage my dual-monitor setup, especially for handling window positioning and taskbars. It has been very stable for me, but I recently noticed that some modern applications (particularly GPU-accelerated or Electron-based apps) don’t always remember their assigned monitor or custom window position profiles.
I’d like to ask if there are recommended settings or best practices for ensuring consistent window placement across multiple monitors, especially after reboot or when displays wake from sleep.
If anyone has tips—or if future versions of UltraMon could include improved handling for these newer app types—that would be great.

I have seen similar behavior with Electron and GPU accelerated apps, and it often comes down to how Windows reports monitor IDs after sleep or reboot. One workaround is disabling fast startup and avoiding DPI scaling changes between monitors, which can help UltraMon apply positions more consistently.

Disabling Fast Startup and keeping the same DPI scaling across monitors helped stabilize window placement for me. It would be great if UltraMon improved handling for modern app frameworks in future updates.
