Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Video ouput from Avid Xdv on a laptop...how do I do it?

Hi,

I have a desktop editng system with Avid Xpress DV 3.5 and can get a reasonably good picture out to a TV via my Matrox G450 graphics card. I am thinking of jumping over to desktop replacement laptop that will work well with Avid XDV, Premiere or any other video editing software that I throw at it.

My problem is; video output from the source/program monitor will now not be sent out to a TV as my Matrox card had done so well (DVDMax feature that plays video out full screen to a TV). Will UltraMon or any other software allow me to send the video signal full screen from Avid Xpress DV out the S-video output on the laptop to a TV? Maybe out through the firewire port in realtime? Any input is welcome.

Thanks for your help,

Z

UltraMon won't help with this, I'm also not aware of any other software which could do this.

BTW, Nvidia supports video mirroring as well, at least for their desktop cards. I don't know if the mobile chipsets also support it.
