Greetings,
I have a feature request that I believe shouldn't be too difficult to enable.
I play a few games, the most notibly is Sacrifice by Interplay. In the lower right hand section of the display is the "mini map" which displays creature locations, allies, structures, etc. I have dual monitors on my system but of course the game only uses 1.
What I would like is for Multimon to be able to zoom a specified section of the display (that lower right hand corner) and display it full screen on monitor two. Since it's hard to see the minimap in detail since it's so small, it would be great to have it full screen on mon 2.
I'm sure this could apply to many games.

You should be able to do this with MirrorMon from the Add-ons page. You'll have to test if performance is satisfactory.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. Because it is a DirectX game I think it would require some extra custom work.. I wouldn't even care if it was low frame per second, as long as I could display the small corner of the game on my second monitor.. How much would this cost me? I'm willing to donate my dog or some red bull for your programmers.. ;-)

What kind of problems did you experience? I tested with Unreal Tournament 2003 in Direct3D mode on Windows XP, worked fine except for the flashing due to the frequent updates.
When selecting the desktop area to mirror, make sure you have set the primary monitor to the resolution used by the game, otherwise the wrong area will be mirrored when the game is started. Running the game at the desktop resolution will also fix this problem.
I'm going to look into 3D mirroring again when I start working on the next major update of mirroring, but I'm not sure if it's actually possible to achieve better results. The current version of mirroring in UltraMon doesn't support 3D mirroring unless DirectX hardware acceleration is disabled.

How strange, the first time I tried it, it didn't work. However I did make it work this time. The feature was usefull, but unfortunately so slow it was painfull. Looks like I need a dual proc machine with a 9800 pro :)
My video cards are separate, would it improve performance if I had a single video card with dual monitor outputs? I'd almost think the manufacturer would have to build this into their software or provide you with low level control so the video image wouldn't have to go from video card to system memory back to video card..
I still may use the feature now and then if I can tune it right. :) Thanks for your efforts, I look forward to future versions of this.

Is there a way to fix flashing ?

You could reduce the update rate to once every second, I'm not sure though if this will completely eliminate flickering.
To do this, select View > Max Update Speed > 1 FPS from the MirrorMon menu.
