I have used UltraMon for quite some time without any problem (currently using V2.3.20.0). Last weekend I had a hard drive failure and had to reinstall WinXP Pro and all my apps.
I then found I had a problem with Windows shutdown - Click Start, Turn Off Computer, the three button dialogue briefly flashes on the screen and disappears. Do it again, and it behaves normally. This happens every time.
I have now narrowed it down to having something to do with UltraMon - it does not happen if UltraMon is not running. Some more info -
Primary video card - ATI Rage 128 AGP.
Secondary video card - GeForce4 MX 420, nView disabled.
No changes made to hardware since before the crash, other than fitting a new hard drive.

A patch is available for this issue, see this thread for details. The fix will be included in the next release.
