Forums -> UltraMon™ -> UltraMon does not detect laptop monitor

Hello,

I just downloaded the trial version of UltraMon, and it stated that it only detected one display. I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 with a GeForce2 Go (Dell Mobile), and I am using the internal monitor as a display. I also have an external Dell 1702 FP flat screen monitor. I also have nVidia TwinView installed. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are using the Dualview (standard) multi-monitor mode, not span or clone mode. This setting can be changed under advanced display properties (Nvidia tab).

If you are using Windows 2000: depending on the driver version you are using, Dualview may not be available or may have to be enabled manually. Look for a setting 'Enable Dualview' (or similar) under the Nvidia settings, if it's not available try installing the latest drivers for the video card.
