I'd pay extra for this feature. ;-) MDI (multiple document interface) programs tend to open new windows at 90% of the client width. When MS Access or XMLSpy are covering more than one monitor this is highly annoying to me. IIRC MS VC++ 6.0 had a way to script on open to set the window size but I know of nothing similar for MS Access or XMLSpy.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Would you want the ability to restrict the new window to a single monitor, for example the one with the mouse on it?

Interesting idea. Additionally, maybe a specific window name could open at the same size and location as the last window of that name. For example I'm using XMLSpy to learn XSLT. I have the .xml and .xsl windows open on the main monitor. I mash the F10 button to apply the transfor, and the results show up in a 3rd window. That window has both a "text" and "browser" tab at the bottom. I like this results window to appear on the 2nd monitor so I can see everything at the same time. Because of a bug in XMLSpy the "text" is not regenerated when the transform is applied if the window is left open so I have to close it each time. So each time I press F10 this 2800 pixel wide window opens, covering the .xml and .xsl windows until I resize it. I would like it to open in the size and place I closed it. Make sense?
