Hi,

Would ultramon make it possible to have the MCE 2005 interface run on one monitor and display the video, tv, etc on a second monitor?

ultramon won't have any impact on being able to do that no.

Although it should be possible to do it the otherway around. As in video on the primary monitor and the controls on the secondary monitor. Usually video can only be displayed on the primary monitor.

You can most definitely use MCE 2k5 and multiple monitors with or without Ultramon. However you can only use one monitor while in Full SCreen mode - the other monitor is locked and blacked out.

I have two displays at 1280x1024 (primary - Sony CRT@85hz; secondary - Viewsonic LCD@60hz) and regularly use my primary (CRT) for my desktop and my secondary (LCD) with a windowed Media Center running live TV or radio with no problems whatsoever.

Wait, sorry I read the post wrong...

I have a single tuner NVTV card - and I am limited to one interface window; meaning I can navigate and watch TV in only one window.

Check out this forum and possibly ask there:
