I'm having difficulty getting custom buttons to work in ultramon, even you supplied one's for the other xp themes do not work. Is there any other trick to getting these to work? I'm putting the glyphs in the directory I installed as followed C:\Program Files\Ultramon\Windows Buttons\Theme\Color Scheme\. Is there another way to get these to work? I love those buttons but i use very customized themes so they don't look so pretty in the default form. I would also love to see a feature in v3 where this is implemented in the program itself, instead of the somewhat roundabout solution for it now. Otherwise great product, I don't know what i would do with out it.

Please check if the bitmaps have been placed in the correct folders, the ones for the silver theme should be in C:\Program Files\UltraMon\Window Buttons\Luna\Metallic, the ones for the olive theme in C:\Program Files\UltraMon\Window Buttons\Luna\Homestead.

Well i got the gylphs to work. I just needed to rename the folder from Windows Buttons to Window Buttons. The glyphs appear as normal, but the backgrounds of the button appear incorrectly. I was just curious as to which background the two ultramon buttons use? Is it possible to change this background through the same process as changing the glyphs? or is it an entirely different process. to get a better idea of what i'm talking about you could look at a post of mine on neowin.net http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=318941 I realize this might have nothing to do with Ultramon, but rather the theme i am using, but any help would be appreaciated in at least narrowing down the cause of this.

UltraMon does not support changing the button background, only the glyph.
Here's how UltraMon draws the buttons:
1) the background of the minimize button, as defined by the theme, gets drawn
2) UltraMon draws the glyph on top of the button background
The problem is most likely that the theme you are using doesn't have an empty button background bitmap, the glyphs for the buttons are drawn directly on top of the background bitmap.
To fix this, the theme would need to be changed. You could add an empty button background bitmap, and proper glyph bitmaps for the standard buttons. If necessary, you could then still create custom glyphs for the UltraMon buttons as well.
