Hi,
I noticed when we use a wallpaper desktop icons gets the background color showing on the text. Then i started searching online they said to play some system performance settings, and do some display settings changes but both didnt work. Is this a problem of ultramon.
My op is windows xp. Thanks

That's most likely not related to UltraMon.
To have transparent desktop icon labels, Active Desktop needs to be disabled, and desktop icon drop shadows need to be enabled.
Active Desktop is disabled by default, but gets enabled if you add a web desktop item via Control Panel > Display > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web.
Desktop icon drop shadows can be enabled under Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Visual Effects, check 'Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop'.
