One really annoying little thing about using multiple monitors is that usually they are all different resolutions and my mouse gets stuck when I move from one screen to another. It would be a really cool feature to add a little overlay to the edge of each screen, showing the height (or width, if the screen is above or below the current screen) of the screen I'm about to move to. That way I'll have a visible target to aim for when I'm dragging my mouse to the edge.
Does this make sense?

Thanks for your suggestion, will be considered for UltraMon 3.
I'm also going to look into simply moving the mouse to the other monitor if UltraMon detects that the user is trying to move the mouse to another monitor.

If you put that feature in, can you have the option to turn it off?
I currently have the situation where my left monitor is bigger and at a higher res than the right monitor while the bottoms of the two monitors are aligned. I like the fact that I can just throw the pointer to the upper right of monitor 1 and click to close a maximized window.

This would certainly be an optional feature.

How about the option to add some "dead zone" to the area between monitors..?
Certain games require you to move the mouse off-screen to pan around the map for instance (i.e. Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale series), this is very difficult on whichever sides you have adjacent monitors. Being able to add a certain number of pixels of "dead zone" before transitioning to the other monitor would allow you to work with this..
As it is now, if I play BG2, there is just a tiny tiny sweet spot I can use right before my mouse jumps to the other screen, but it's really hard to hit, and I have to find it slowly..
Just a thought.
Thanks, Javan.

Have you tried locking the mouse to the primary monitor? This should also prevent the mouse from getting moved out of the game.

Aye, that's the thing though, I don't really want to lock it, I'd like to be able to keep the functionality the same, but just have to say, move my hand a bit further to get to the next display..
That way, the off-screen scrolling feature in games would still work, along with being able to mouse to the next display..
Obviously, this isn't critical, just a "would be nice" feature for me personally.
Thanks, Javan.

I don't see a way to do this.
What you could do is align the monitors so that they only touch in a single point, you could then move the mouse to the other monitor only by moving it through the corner where the two monitors connect.
You could configure this via a display profile, which only gets used when running the game.

IMHO, the edge overlay would make ultramon a killer app. Even Nview doesn't that. This kind of feature is very userful because it prevent unwilling switch to the next monitor, particulary for closing maximized apps.
When will ultramon 3 be released? because it will determine if I buy it.

I don't have a release date for the first beta yet.
