I have seen a similar report with different video cards.
Basically my second monitor can be disabled but fails to respond to the enable command.

Any ideas?

Monitor 1 (primary):
Settings: 1280x1024, 16-bit color, optimal refresh rate
Coordinates: 0,0 - 1280,1024. Workspace: 0,0 - 1280,991
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 256
Device name: \\.\Display1

Monitor 2:
Settings: 1024x768, 16-bit color, optimal refresh rate

Please let me know what operating system you are using, and what UltraMon > About displays if you have the second monitor disabled.

Using Windows 98 (Not SE)

When 2nd monitor disabled Ultramon says:

2 monitors, 1 disabled
Current desktop: 1280x1024 (0,0 - 1280,1024)

Monitor 1 (primary):
Settings: 1280x1024, 16-bit color, default refresh rate
Coordinates: 0,0 - 1280,1024. Workspace: 0,0 - 1280,991
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 256
Device name: \\.\Display1

Monitor 2 (disabled):
Settings: 1024x768, 16-bit color, optimal refresh rate
Coordinates: 0,0 - 1024,768
Video card: SiS 6326
Device name: \\.\Display2

Looks like UltraMon can't get the original position of the secondary monitor when it is disabled.

For troubleshooting, I'll need to have a copy of the HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Display\Settings registry key. Exporting the registry key to a file:

- start regedit.exe and select the HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Display\Settings registry key
- choose Registry\Export Registry File from the menu

Please send me the resulting .reg file by e-mail to support@realtimesoft.com.
