Whenever I attempt to install UltraMon on my computer the installation stops and I get a popup window with the error: Internal error 2352. Installation bombs out at this point and I get a message that UltraMon did not install. try again later.

Please try a logged install and send me the log file:- open a command prompt, and change to the directory where you have stored UltraMon20.msi
- run the following command:
msiexec /i UltraMon20.msi /L* UltraMon.log - after setup has finished, you will have a file called UltraMon.log in the same directory as UltraMon20.msi
If you are using Windows 98/Me, you will need to type the full path to msiexec.exe, for example C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msiexec.exe

hmm, afraid you assume I know a lot more about computers than I do. Wouldn't have a clue on how to go to a command prompt.

The command prompt (or MS-DOS prompt) is available on the Start menu, under Programs > Accessories.
After you have opened a command prompt, you need to change to the directory where you stored UltraMon20.msi. If you saved it in the C:\Temp directory, you would type the following command, followed by RETURN:
cd "C:\Temp"
Once you are in the correct directory, you can run the msiexec command as described above.

Well, regretfully I think I am going to have to pass on this program.
I tried the instructions you sent me and went into dos. I found the file name but when I tried the command all I get is
Bad file or command name

If you are using Windows 98 or Me, you'll have to type the full path/file name instead of only msiexec. If Windows is installed on the C: drive, you would type the following:
C:\Windows\System\msiexec.exe /i UltraMon20.msi /L* UltraMon.log

okay this time we get: This Installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the apllication vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.
And yes I am using windows 98. original not se.

Yep, it's me again.
I would throw in the towel but darn it! It's now personal! I will get this thing to work or at least know why it won't.
I downloaded the windows installer 1.1 in case mine happened to be an old one. ran it. which btw it worked. Then ran your batch file you sent me and got: This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exist..... yada yada yada.
So. Any ideas on what to try now?

Make sure that
- you have downloaded UltraMon20.msi and not an earlier version
- the batch file is in the same directory as UltraMon20.msi

okay this will be the final post from me at least in this category.
After having nothing working I finally got fed up and deleted the program completely and then came back to the site and downloaded it again.
Exact same program. same name, same version
and then attempted to install. I figured it wouldn't work again but to my surprise it ran perfectly. O_O Oh well, computers. Can't live with them.... and can't have a decent nervous breakdown without them.
So now I am testing UltraMon. So far I like what I see but having a few little piddling problems. Like when I run different screen savers on each monitor it works fine but then crashes out after a short time.
I'll keep playing with it till I figure everything out.
Thanks for all the help.
