Hi,
I install v2.7, but it disables my Aero theme, but I can't fully uninstall it.
There is still the mirror display driver and I can disable, uninstall or change the driver because it comes up with the following error:
"Windows could not load the installer for DisplayMirror. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance"
I really don't want to have to reinstall Vista to get my transparancies back! Any way around this???
Thanks

I guess you're using the x64 version of Vista? If yes, you'll need to manually disable the mirroring feature on the Customize Installation screen of the setup, mirroring doesn't work on Vista.
To fix the driver install error you get, run regedit.exe, go to the key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\DISPLAYMIRROR', open permissions and change the owner of the key to yourself, then delete as much of the subkeys and values as possible (you won't be able to delete them all).

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Its the x32 version of Vista, it installed fine as normal, but killed my transparancies. When I uninstall they never went back to normal and left the device "DisplayMirror" that I can't set drivers for, uninstall or change.
When I go into RegEdit I can set permissions for all the folders except for anything under the "/Enum" This means I can't delete the values for "DisplayMirror"
Thanks

Did you change the ownership of the DISPLAYMIRROR key? This should allow you to delete most of the values and subkeys.

After a couple of reboots the DisplayMirror had disapeared and my Aero theme is now back!!
Do you know if Aero will be supported under v3?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure that the taskbar will work fine, but don't know yet about the window buttons.
