I've tried Ultramon 2.6 and 2.7.0 on Vista RC1 (after being extremely happy with it under XP), but am having some real issues with it.

I have two monitors connected to my PC, of differing sizes and running at different resolutions (hardly ideal I know, but they're the screens I've got).

My primary monitor is running at 1280x1024 and is physically on the right. My secondayr monitor is running at 1024x768 and is on the left (& slightly down). I've set this up OK in Vista and the screens align OK, with mouse moving from one to the other as they should.

If I install Ultramon then it seems to treat the screens as though they were reversed though. For example, if I set separate wallpapers then they end up on the wrong screens, mis-sized and mis-aligned. It seems to be a similar story with the buttons to move windows between screens, with Ultramon not seeming to correctly understand where each of my screens are and what resolution they're running at.

Any ideas?

The wallpaper issue should be fixed in 3.0 beta 1, happens if you have a monitor to the left of the primary.

The buttons should work fine though, assuming you're not using the Aero theme with transparency. I haven't noticed any problems with moving windows to the other monitor, both with the monitors using different or the same resolution.

Thanks for the feedback, I'd assumed it was probably a 'wait for version 3' kind of issue and that's fine. I'll check the Window moving buttons though, there was definitely something odd with them first time I tried it out, but maybe that was unrelated.

Cheers
