I am looking for a utility that would allow me following.
I want to be able to define a grid on the screen and be able to maximize a particular window to a certain cell.
For example, I divide one of the monitors into four equal cells, so that I can drag “Errors” panel from Eclipse and maximize it to the first cell, and move and maximize "properties panel" to the other.

Thanks for the suggestion, support for this will be considered for UltraMon 3. You could already do this with hotkeys and the VMonMove/MaximizeWnd scripts. If you have an Nvidia video card: the nView Desktop Manager's display gridlines feature does this.
