Does the Ultramon support Matrox cards ?

Matrox cards should work fine.

If you have a dualhead card (G400/450/550):

- on Windows 2000, make sure you have drivers with true multi-monitor support, so that each display is recognized individually by the system

- Windows 98/Me: support for dualhead cards has been improved in Beta 5, which will be available shortly. It should also work with Beta 4, but you may experience some problems

Is it compatible with Matrox tools (PowerDesk, etc.), or we need to uninstall that to install UltraMon?

I am currently running a Matrox G400 DualHead and a Matrox Mystique in the same system under Win2000 with very few problems.

The G400 isn't in DualHead multi-display mode, rather, I have the 2nd DualHead output connected to a TV for DVD's and such. My "desktop" monitors are the 1st output on the G400 and the only output on the Mystique (a VERY old Matrox PCI card, but works fine for multi-mon.)

The only problem is that to use the DVDMax DualHead feature requires me to disable the 2nd monitor with Ultramon, I'm guessing this is a limitation of Matrox's drivers for my system. I also have to disable the 2nd monitor (the one on the Mystique) if I want to use my Rainbow Runner G Series video capture card (connected to the G400.)

What a complex setup... Factor in my Hollywood Plus DVD decoder and that makes FOUR graphics cards... But it all seems to work okay.

UltraMon seems to work fine together with PowerDesk and eDualHead, but I didn't do any in-depth testing.
