Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Taskbar becomes unavailable

I am using two identical monitors. No 1 on the left has the Start menu on it.

Sometimes and often - but not always - after accessing "My Documents", the taskbar on the left hand side (including the start menu) is unavailable. The cursor changes from a pointer to "vertical resize" - this does not happen on the right hand monitor which has the "smart taskbar on it". The only way to continue is to reboot using the Windows Task manager.

many thanks for any help

Richard

Sounds like an issue with a shell extension, it's most likely not related to UltraMon though.

To verify this, check if you still have the problem if UltraMon isn't running.

Thanks - you are quite correct - It happens without UltraMon running - now I have to find somewhere I can get help.

It seems to be something to do with the excellent program CachemanXP

I suspect that the problem is with one of the settings - perhaps the one "Run Taskbar As Separate Processes"
