It seems Windows "knows" that primary monitors are always on the left. However, I strongly prefer my primary monitor to be on the right. Since Windows can't seem to remember my preference, is there a way for UltraMon to have a preference to force a window arrangement?

This is really bugging me -- if anyone has other suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them!

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,

Have you tried to drag your monitor icon to the right of your primary monitor in the screen setup? Right click your desktop, tick properties and go to the tab where you can edit you resolution. You see 2 monitors, both with big numbers in it. Each monitor stands for one of your monitors and you can drag them to the position you want.

Yes, I do this every time I log in :-(

Maybe something is wrong on my end since Windows doesn't remember this? I have a laptop, so perhaps it gets reset when I undock (at which time there is only one monitor).

Thanks,
Paul

As a workaround, you could create a display profile which sets the desired monitor configuration.

To do this, right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray, then select Display Profiles > New Display Profile from the menu.

Thanks, that works very nicely! That's a lot easier than what I had to do before...
