...how to invoke the problem:

A. install from MSI file in Windows 2000
B. enable smartbar "standard"
C. make a duplikate of Quicklaunch (create dir, copy links to it from: "\Documents...\USER\Application data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quicklaunch", select taskbar then menuitem "toolbars" in right click menu, "new..." and select created dir with links)
D. place this second Quicklaunch to sec. monitor and attach it over Smartbar (in bottom screen), set it always on top
E. Now "disable secondary" and after while reenable it...

...what will happen:

1. It takes very long before taskbars on both screens restore (and fill with icons) - about 20 sec.
2. In UltraMon About dialog - the subwindow with slider will be blank
3. If you close program in system tray you will never able to run program again (reinstall neccessary).
4. If you will try to run ultramon.exe the tray icon will show up, but when you point the mouse cursor on it, it will dissapear.
5. After reinstall of ultramon, all is OK...
6. when the points C and D are skipped (no quick launch bar attached to smartbar) ultramon installation will not damage, but after executing point E. the smartbar no longer displays any informations (no app.-boxes) or displays invalid app-boxes (some applications will not have a app-box on any monitor, others will have app-box on primary and will run on sec. etc.) (if you will turn off the smartbar in this situation and then you turn on it again it will not display again)...

Config:
iP3 666MH, 400MB RAM, Windows 2000 SP2, MSI nVidia GF2 MX AGP 32M, Pine nVidia TNT2 M64 PCI 32M, using mutimonitor wallpaper created by UltraMon, res. 1280*1024, 1152*864 p, Latest Detonators 21.81 installed...

I can't reproduce this problem, works fine on my test system, with a very similar configuration: Win2000 SP2, 3x Nvidia cards using 21.81 drivers.

Please e-mail me a screen shot of the Task Manager process list, maybe there is a compatibility issue.

BTW, are you using a SoundBlaster Live card with LiveWare 3 software?

My friend Tom has similar problem...
...i think he is registered user...

He told me:
1. I installed from MSI
2. entered my VALID serial number
3. closed About box, where was all alright
4. selected About box again and there was no info in sub-window with slider
5. I closed the system tray icon
6. I runned ultramon.exe again - system tray icon appeared
7. when I point mouse cursor on it, it disappears
8. after reinstall there was all ok, but after I enter my VALID serial the problem appeared again...
