It happens, that the Smart Taskbar screws a bit up during normal operation. Either some tasks get shown twice and one of them stays when it is closed or a taskbutton simply is simply not removed when the task is closed. Another thing is the maximizing a window suddenly resizes to the full monitor resolution and overlapping the smart taskbar (actually underlapping, titlebar not visible). I know you guys are probably on to that, but what I would like to recommend as a temporary solution is an easier way to restart the smart taskbar than deactivating it clicking ok reopen the UltraMon dialog and the activating it, it's teadious. Maybe an entry in the right click menu of the smart taskbar.

I agree... there's an option to add Enable and Disable Smart Taskbar to the right-click menu, but it'd be even better to add a third option in that menu of "Restart Smart Taskbar"

Will be considered for the next release, but the issues you mentioned should be fixed in 3.0 Beta 2.
You could use the RestartSmartTaskbar script to quickly restart the Smart Taskbar, I use this myself if I have issues with the 3.0 Beta 1 Smart Taskbar.
