Forums -> UltraMon™ -> UltraMon Taskbar Fatal Error

I've been running v3.0.0 Beta 1 on Vista Ultimate for a few weeks now. I usually don't have any problems (3 monitors: 20.1" - 30" - 20.1", with the 20.1" monitors rotated 90 degrees). But today I keep getting this fatal error:

"UltraMon Taskbar encountered a fatal error and will exit. This usually happens when the system is low on memory or other resources, but might also happen for other reasons.

Technical details:
Source file:.\TaskBand.cpp
Line: 633
Return value: 0
Last error: 1402"

I hit the OK button and UltraMon closes. Then I re-execute it and about 5-10 minutes later it fails again.

I have 4GB of ram (using about 1.5GB) so I don't think it's a memory issue. I'm going to reboot to see if this corrects itself.

Thanks

You'll get this error with some applications, this could happen anytime the application updates its window caption or icon. The issue is not related to the amount of free memory or other resources.

This issue will be fixed in the next release. Restarting the Smart Taskbar is the only workaround I'm aware of.
