Forums -> UltraMon™ -> ZoomPlayer taskbar button not showing in other monitor's taskbars

So, thats pretty much it. When I drag ZoomPlayer (or switch using a HotKey) to another monitor, it goes there, but its taskbar button does not switch to the other monitor's taskbar. This doesn't really bother me, but when playing several files, it flashes the taskbar button (and it gets focus) as it switches to the next vid. If this a bug due to Zoom Player and is beyond UltraMon, do you know of some kind of software that can hide the taskbar button without hiding the window?

Greetings.

Thanks for the bug report, will be fixed in Beta 6. I also noticed another problem (at least on XP), the Smart Taskbar shows multiple buttons for a single Zoom Player window.

Heres another one for you....relating to Excel 2002 from Office XP.

If you open up Excel and put it on the 2nd monitor, thats fine. But if you have 2 worksheets open, you end up with 3 buttons instead of just 2....one for the main Excel window (you shouldnt get one for it unless theres no documents open) on the secondary, and a button for each worksheet (as your meant to have) - but they are left on the primary.

Ultramon Beta 5(3rd release), Windows XP 2600.

Could i also add myself to the list of people requesting the taskbars (if possible)be able to act like the taskbar in that if you maximise a window on the screen, the bottom of the window starts at the top of the taskbar rather than hising the bottom of the window.

Another thing ive noticed (mainly because i run different reolutions) is that sometimes if i have a program sretched over both screens (meaning the bottom corner of the application is being hidden on one screen because the monitor isnt as high resolution as the primary) then it will cover the taskbar, making me minimise the progream to get to the taskbar...

This feature will be in Beta 6, the way it is currently implemented it should work very well for people with the same resolution on each monitor, but if you use different resolutions it depends on your setup.

An example:
Monitor 1: 1024x768 @ 0,0
Monitor 2: 800x600 @ 1024,0
taskbars at the bottom of both monitors

With such a setup, the desktop-maximized window will be above the taskbar on monitor 1, but below the taskbar on monitor 2.
The alternative would be to limit the height of the desktop-maximized window to the workspace height of monitor 2, but depending on the application, this isn't a good solution at all (for example Photoshop, Premiere and other applications that use a workspace with multiple windows).

Hi, a little comment about something said in Home -> Multi-Monitor Guide -> Playing videos on secondary monitors.

"Zoom Player allows you to play fullscreen video on secondary monitors while working on a different monitor. In the current version, fullscreen mode only works on each monitor if all monitors use the same display resolution."

I have 3 screens: 1 monitor at 800x600, 1 monitor at 640x780 and 1 TV-Out at 800x600. Zoom Player v2.00 works perfectly even without the same resolution in. Dunno about older vers.

Still doesn't work for me with Zoom Player 2.0. Monitors 1 and 2 @ 1024x768, monitor 3 @ 800x600. If I play a video fullscreen on monitor 3 it is partly cut off, the video is sized to 1024x768 even though the monitor resolution is 800x600.

You need to enable the Zoom Feature and set it to the screen resolution you have in the screen where you are "full-screening".
