I have 1 large monitor with the resolution of 3840x1200.
Does UltraMon have the capability to split this resolution into 2 halves?
I am aware that there is a split script, but I don't want to just move the windows, I want the task bars to act independently of each other as well.
I want the 1 large resolution to truly act is if it were 2 separate monitors.

UltraMon can't do this.
What video card are you using? Most support regular extended desktop mode where each monitor is recognized individually, one exception is the Dual/TripleHead2Go.

Tony,
Can you elaborate, what would you gain by splitting the monitor in to 2 seperate monitors. Cannot see how this can give you any benefit unless you were running 2 PC`s connected to one monitor and that would need some sort of hardare solution rather then software.
Surely all you need is some sort of Virtual Desktop manager where you can switch between differnt screens.

Christian Studer/Bob - Yes, i'm using Dual/TripleHead2Go. I figure it was easier to state the resolution as 1 monitor rather than explain what exactly Dual/TripleHead2Go is and it's limitations.
Real world scenario:
I want 2-24" (1900x1200) monitors to hook up to a macbook pro, however there is only 1 DVI output.
The only solution i've found to output to 2 monitors from 1 DVI source is Dual/TripleHead2Go.
It works, however the limitation there is that the computer will only recognize this as 1 large monitor, this is a limitation on Maxtors end (company who created Dual/TribleHead2Go).
I was hoping Ultramon would be the solution. After searching the web, I don't think such a solution exists.

Tony, a PCMCIA video card like the VTBook might be a solution.
