OK, this is a solid product. After I'm done complaining about its flaws and limitations, I'm going to go buy a license number.

First, the big weirdness: the missing DLL dialog you get when you use an Ultramon title bar button on Firefox or Thunderbird. The precise nature of the bug is confusing (is Ultramon trying to load the Mozilla DLLs or something?) but fortunately the workaround is very simple: you add the Firefox and/or Thunderbird installation directory to your PATH. If you can't fix this bug, you should add the workaround to the help file.

I'm also having trouble with the maximize-to-screen feature. It gets the dimensions all wrong. I think Ultramon is confused by the fact that my two monitors are not the same size:
Monitor 1 - ViewSonic VG2230wm SERIES (primary): Settings: 1680x1050, 32-bit color, 60 Hz refresh rate Coordinates: 0,0 - 1680,1050. Workspace: 0,0 - 1680,966 Video card: Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family Device: \\.\DISPLAY1\Monitor0 Monitor 2 - Digital Flat Panel (1024x768): Settings: 1024x768, 32-bit color, 60 Hz refresh rate Coordinates: 1680,0 - 2704,768. Workspace: 1680,0 - 2704,736 Video card: Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family Device: \\.\DISPLAY2\Monitor1

Here's an RFE relating to display profiles. When you have a portable computer that you use with a non-portable monitor, display profiles are darned important. I used to use the profiles that are supported by the Intel video driver, but UltraMon's profiles are slightly better, because they remember the relative placement of the monitors. However, the Intel driver knows how to invoke a profile when I place the tablet in its cradle. Any chance of a similar feature for Ultramon?

One other thing: I used to have a "minimize to tray" program that I had to ditch because it didn't get along with Ultramon. (Well, OK, it had other issues too.) Any chance of such a feature in UltraMon?

Thanks for your suggestions, will be considered for a future release.

The DLL error seems to be a Firefox issue, also see this thread for more on this. I haven't seen this myself though, it's probably related to a specific configuration setting or plugin.

Monitors with different resolutions should work fine with Maximize to Desktop, but please note that the window won't fully cover both monitors, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the whole window. For further troubleshooting, please send me a screenshot of the desktop with a desktop-maximized window to support@realtimesoft.com and also let me know which version of UltraMon and Windows you are using.
