When I start firefox, it starts maximized, but is shifted slightly downward so that there is about a quarter-inch of wallpaper showing at the top and the status bar on the bottom of firefox is underneath the taskbar.

This wasn't a problem when I first started running firefox.

If I send firefox to my other monitor and then back, the location problem is fixed. The problem occurs whether I launch firefox from my favorites menu, by clicking a firefox shortcut, or by entering a URL into the run menu. The problem only occurs with firefox. All other programs (Office suite programs, Internet Explorer) that normally run maximized function properly.

I'm running windows xp pro SP2, firefox 2.0.0.14, and UltraMon 3.0.2.1.

I've tried various combinations of settings for the options accessed by rightclicking the firefox shortcut, including copying the settings from a program that opens properly, and nothing seems to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what might cause this, but most likely this isn't related to UltraMon. To verify this, try if closing or uninstalling UltraMon fixes the problem.

I also haven't been able to reproduce this issue, Firefox starts correctly maximized, on both the primary and secondary monitor. I tested on XP SP3 with Firefox 2.0.0.14 and UltraMon 3.0.2.
