I'm trying to run two monitors on my Presario 5150. I'm using the onboard Rage Pro and the all-in-wonder
PCI. I’ve checked at the Microsoft, ATI, and Compaq sites, and all state that these cards will work together. I have all the latest drivers including the system ROM update. When I start the computer it automatically disables the onboard card. I've gone into the BIOS, and there is nothing there about multiple monitor support. I've tried resetting the BIOS defaults and nothing is to avail. In device manager under the Rage Pro's properties it states "Windows will attempt to restart without checking your computer's hardware." Please let me know how to keep the Rage Pro from being disabled, I've read everything in the Compaq forum and nothing in their helps my problem.

Probably the onboard video always gets disabled if any other VGA card is present. I guess this doesn't have anything to do with multimon compatibility of the chipset.

Your right the problem is the BIOS. Whats frustrating is the the latest drivers for the Rage LT Pro, which are directly from Compaq, state that it enables multiple monitor support. The drivers for the AIW128 are over writing the Rage drivers. I know this because if I try to reinstall the drivers for the Rage after the AIW128 is intalled, it asks if i want to over write a newer driver. And if i say yes it screws up the display of the AIW128. Do you know of any way to keep this from happening.

Can't help you with this one.
BTW, are you sure that installing the Rage LT drivers would help at all, seeing that the problem is BIOS-related?
