Hello group,
Using an ATI 9500 with dual-head (VGA, and TV-Out) under Win 2K. Catalyst/Hydravision software came with the card.
I need: ( ... true Win2K dual display, me thinks) - maximize one app on VGA monitor; - maximize a second app onto the TV (as if the TV we're a desktop of its own)
My problems: Maximizing onto the TV is complicated - user has to select window, and move it manually using arrow keys, and when at the right spot, drop it there - mighty complicated. When we try to use maximize button, it maximizes across both monitors.
Taskbar & dialogs and popups appear skewed off one side of the monitor. I've changed the setup in Hydravision to reposition the dialogs, ... works a while, then eventually they wind up skewed to one side again.
Sometimes, when starting an application, it maximizes on TV off the start - for no reason I know of.
Manuals are of little help.
All in all I'm somewhat disappointed at how much aggravation this board has caused me (I used to run this setup with 2 graphics cards, and that did work much better).
My question: Are my problems typical, or am I simply configuring things wrong? Are these problems solved by any recent drivers/software by ATI?
Any comments greatly appreciated!
