Hi Christian, I'm not sure if I'm doing something else here, but every time I change the wallpaper on the 2nd desktop (via ultramons desktop wallpaper changer) with the 2nd desktop visible (or only partially covered), it seems like ultramon & explorer have a long fight between each other(easily up to 30seconds). I can see everything continuing to work in the background, but I cant use any apps. Also cant click on explorers taskbar at all and apps dont respond when alt+tab'd to. Alt+ctrl+del still brings up TaskManager and that works fine even when nothing else does :) Once the delay is done, the computer is fine again and works per normal.
It does not occur if the 2nd desktop is *fully* covered (including smart taskbar) when I change the wallpaper. It does not occur when changing the 1st monitors wallpaper the same way.
I have 2 nVidia cards (gf3 ti 200 & tnt2 pci, 28.32 dets) and Windows XP.

This happens when you hit the Apply button, right?
I haven't seen this problem myself so far, applying the wallpaper can take a couple seconds (the new bitmap is generated and then loaded by Windows), but moving applications etc. still works.
Do you have the same problem if the Smart Taskbar isn't running?

Hah, Its gone away again.
I swear I've never noticed that happening before which made it seem really odd (and like a conflict with something else running).
I turned off the smart taskbar and turned it back on again and tried hitting OK instead of apply (in the wallpaper changer) and it works fine. I'm at a loss :)
Maybe the old tech favorite - reboot yer puter - woulda fixed it. hehe
I'll see if i can reproduce it again, altho it may have come down to an ultramon vs explorer thing ? We all know how well MS Apps like sharing resources. :)

*sigh*
The moment I posted the last reply, it did it again.
This time the 1st desktop was uncovered, but the 2nd was fully covered (no smart taskbar).
I am applying a jpg image, and the wallpapers 'stretch proportional' setting to shrink the image a little.
Is it possible ultramon is taking that long (30secs or so) to decode the jpg, resize it and recode it at the size required (on a 1.3Ghz duron) ? You mentioned before Ultramon makes a temp .bmp file for the wallpaper ? Could it be something to do with the conversion process ? I just tried loading up a whole buncha of new images and they all took ages, whereas it seems almost random when re-applying images already loaded would slow down.

Shouldn't take that long, I have a slower system myself (dual P2-400), and the maximum load time I've seen is about 5 seconds, with a wallpaper with 3 large JPEGs that need to be resized (stretch proportional).
One thing you could check: open Task Manager > Processes and check if any process is using lots of CPU when applying the wallpaper.

One of the most enjoyable Melon Playground aspects of the gameplay is the control system. Players can drag, rotate, freeze, or activate objects with ease, making it simple to create complex setups. Whether you are building machines, testing weapons, or creating chaotic scenes, the controls remain intuitive and responsive, allowing creativity to flow without frustration.

Players are able to begin playing geometry dash subzero by selecting any one of the three levels available to them. However, in order to get the most out of their experience, it is recommended that they begin playing the game in the order of increasing difficulty. This will allow them to become accustomed to the game's controls and timing. Players take control of the character by pressing either the spacebar or the left mouse button to cause him to leap, and by holding either of these buttons for a series of hops in a row.

Large or animated wallpapers require more resources to load and switch. Optimizing image size, velocity enterprises reducing effects, and ensuring sufficient device performance can help minimize delays and improve responsiveness.
