I’ve been stuck in this weird loop lately where I open my wardrobe and feel like none of it really represents me. A few years ago I tried to copy trends I saw online, then I switched to super basic outfits because it felt “safe.” The problem is, both approaches felt like I was playing a role. Recently I found an old photo of myself wearing something bold and slightly unconventional, and I actually smiled. So now I’m wondering — how do you really find your style? Is it trial and error, or does it just click at some point?

Honestly, I think it’s mostly trial and error. For me it started with small details — like adding one piece that felt a bit outside my comfort zone. I remember thinking leather was “too much” for me, but then I came across some handcrafted pieces and realized it depends on how you wear them. I was browsing https://bleakandsleek.shop/collections/leather-lingerie out of curiosity, not even planning to buy anything, and it kind of opened my eyes to how materials and fit can change your perception of yourself. It wasn’t about being provocative, it was about quality and confidence. From there, I started building outfits around one element I truly liked instead of copying full looks. Over time, patterns appeared — certain textures, cuts, colors. That’s when it started to feel like mine.
