Foren -> Multiple monitors -> assigning video adapter #1 vs #2........

I have an HP Pavillion and have an AGP Viper 770 Ultra 32mb as the primary, and a PCI STB Nitro 3D 4mb as the secondary, or so I thought. In the BIOS setup it is set for the default adapter to be AGP. However the monitor attached to the PCI is the one that lights first. Also under display properties it shows the STB to be primary. What if anything can I do to make the PCI the secondary adapter/monitor? I have both adapters and monitors lit and working, but I'm not ready to game on the card with only 4mb versus the 32mb card.

Thanks,

Alan

Looks like there's a problem with your BIOS. What happens if you set the PCI as primary? If this doesn't help, try to get an updated BIOS.

Thanks for the info Christian. I did set the BIOS to PCI just to see what would happen and no change. I d/ld a BIOS update from HP but no help there either. Propriatary systems! Tried running a game using the set up and had to go back to a single monitor, I couldn't handle the "slide-show"!! Maybe for my next system, and it won't be HP!
