The DVI on my videocard goes to a Westinghouse LVM-37w1 LCD screen. The VGA on the same videocard is connected to my CRT. Can I switch between the two monitors and have them each maintain a different resolution?

With most video cards, you can have completely different settings on each monitor, as long as you are using the standard Windows Extended Desktop mode. Both monitors will be on at the same time, and you can drag items between the 2 displays.
