Hiya,
I installed ultramon 3.0 beta 1, and it all seemed to work just fine on my XP machine. However when I tried to boot my computer the next day, windows could not find the drivers anymore. The system boots in standard vga 800x600 with 4bits color... disgusting..
I'm using these nvidia drivers: 163.75_forceware_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe
My graphics card is a NE8800GTX from Asus and uses dual display (samsung syncmaster 205bw and a medion 19")
After I uninstalled ultramon and reinstalled the nvidia drivers it all went back to normal.
Any idea why this is happening ? It's no good for me if I have have to reinstall the nvidia drivers at each boot.
Thanks, MeesterP

This seems to be a compatibility issue with UltraMon's mirroring feature and some video card driver versions, removing the mirroring feature will fix the problem.
To do this, deselect the mirroring feature on the Customize Installation screen during setup.

Yup,
That solved the problem. From the forums I concluded it effected the Vista drivers only, but it seems to impact XP as well.
Thanks for the heads up.

This is not an issue on Vista, the mirroring feature only gets installed on XP/2000.
